Who we are
We are Brewster County residents and landowners who want to protect the land, water, dark skies and quiet that make the Big Bend home — for our families, our neighbors, and everyone who comes here to get away. We’re not against energy or jobs. We’re against putting a record-scale gas power plant at the gateway to Big Bend National Park.
We started this site to share what’s been proposed, where every number comes from, and how you can be heard while Brewster County still has time to decide.
— Your Big Bend Neighbors
Not here. North of I-10.
Communities in the Permian Basin are welcoming projects like this one, and they have the gas, pipelines and oilfield water — plus the housing, workers and infrastructure to support it. If it’s built anywhere, build it there, where its emissions would land farther from Big Bend National Park.
About our numbers
Pacifico hasn’t sized the Brewster plant yet. It named its Pecos County project, GW Ranch, as its model, so our biggest figures — 7.65 GW, 33M tons and 12,000+ tons — are that project’s permit limits. Every source is listed on The Facts.
